Just A Simple Tree

When fall strokes it's brush upon them, the leaves begin to die,
to make sure the tree can stay alive, each must say goodbye.
This coat of colors comfort the tree to ease what lies ahead,
when cold winds try to fell it after all the leaves are dead.

Standing tall it holds each branch upwards toward the sky
to brave those winter storms, sent from clouds on high.
Having deep faith in nature, knows it soon will send the spring
and those sunny days for the birth of leaves it brings.

Older now, my mind is filled with great awe in the faith I see
and feel ashamed I had less faith than just a simple tree.
Our lives are made of seasons and some will make us grieve,
but if we just have faith, we will never be without our leaves.

The Whole World Knows

People see us walking down the street,
We're filled with so much love and care,
Like the moon that hangs in the sky at night,
They know our love will always be there

With one look at us together they see,
That this love we've built is just so strong,
Like the snow that falls within the cold,
They know, we've found where we belong

Every time I touch you my heart fills up,
And every kiss we share is like the first,
You're like the endless bottle of love,
That always quenches my deepest thirst

We have this sacred bond of true love,
Like the red that sticks itself to a rose,
The love that we share is endless,
And I love that the whole world knows
